And with a bit of planning you gan get everyone Adrenaline Rush too. And by about 2/3 of the way into the game, anyone important will have equipment to act twice every turn no matter what they do, not counting haste procs. Or you can spend 8 skill points and get an offhealer with Mass Healing. A healer is not optional for YOU but again.dun dada dunnnn.believe it or not people have beaten this game and many others without one. And believe it or not you can carry and use them on more than one party member! Money should not be a problem either. Potions don't take a full turn to use and you can believe it or not make your own. Potions can't heal your entire party all at once, and you have far better things to spend limited money on anyway.Ī healer is very much optional. IIRC the penalites are all but eliminated with the relevant feats and it becomes one of the most overpowered things in the game. Or when the archer's backup healing suddenly becomes your main healing so the priest can melt faces. Just don't be surprised when your archer starts falling behind and never really comes back. I should probably just make a guide out of this if one does not exist yet - it's causing way too much confusion for what really isn't complicated.Originally posted by Waypoint:If you were playing Torment or something I'd say you're screwed. To play those in right order, play Avadon first, then Avadon 2 and then wait for them to release Avadon 3 in 1-2 years. After finishing that, play Avernum 4, 5 and 6 in the number-order.Īvadon is, to my knowledge, totally distinct from Avernum. To play the games in the chronological order, play Avernum: Escape from the Pit first, then Avernum 2: Crystal Souls and then wait for Avernum 3: The Ruined World to get released (in 2 or 3 years). I'm basing this on the fact that to my knowledge there are no Nephilim (from Avernum) in Avadon. There's an empire in both games, but the setting and the world is different. I don't think Avadon has any significant connection to Avernum. 4, 5 and 6 had already been released on Steam. Then they remade 1 and 2 and released the remakes on Steam. Then they remade them into Avernum 1, 2 and 3, then made a new trilogy of 4, 5 and 6 with that style. So either Avernum is Avadon part 2 - Avernum 1 and 2 are just not on Steam - Avernum is like Star Wars, last episodes first.
